Almost from the outset, Singko Corp recognized that in order to support its vast network, it would need a workforce with a common educational foundation, so the Singko Jr. Academy and Singko University were born. Over the centuries they have become the pre-eminent educational institutions in the universe. While they try to maintain autonomy from the corporation, it’s always a push and pull.
The Singko Educational Archipelago began as one simple space station but it quickly outgrew the confined quarters and started a never-ending outward expansion. After the first 50 years, the Jr. Academy and University were split off from each other into two separate massive space stations, in geo-synchronous orbit, connected by a massive umbilical - the equivalent of an indoor eight lane highway. The two sides of the Educational Archipelago are dependent on each other for power, food, resources.
Over one hundred years ago the two institutions started a terra-forming project so the co-dependent space stations are literally becoming micro-planets.
